The Red Cross is offering the Pillowcase Project virtually throughout the summer, and students can register for any date and time that works for them. We currently have June dates set and will be adding July and August shortly.  Students can learn about being prepared in an emergency, especially as we enter Hurricane season. The program is absolutely free!

  1. Logon to http://www.pwcs.edu
  2. Click Parents (up top)
  3. Click Staying connected on the left
  4. Scroll down to The HUB - Parent Vue and click Login to Parent Vue
  5. Click more options on the bottom right
  6. Click Activate account and follow the prompts
  7. If you don't have your authentication/activation key, email our secretary, Ms. Brizuela, at brizuenm@pwcs.edu

Testing for COVID-19
Prince William County has partnered with the Health Department and Walmart to open two drive through testing sites here in the county.Beginning today, 15 May 2020, the sites will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00-9:00 AM.The locations are

-New FREE Medical Clinic in Woodbridge
Catholic Charities Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic has opened in Woodbridge. This clinic will serve the underinsured and the uninsured regardless of your faith. The clinic is located at 13900 Church Hill Rd., Woodbridge.
-New Housing Measures for Congress
As Congress considers its next moves on economic recovery and infrastructure investments, two notable housing bills are gaining support. The Emergency Rental Assistance and Rental Market Stabilization Actwould appropriate $100 billion to provide short-term rental assistance – see the campaign fact sheet here. A more aggressive bill, introduced by Rep. Ilhan Omar, HR 6515, the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act of 2020, would cancel rent and mortgage payments for eligible families during the COVID crisis, and provide a fund to reimburse landlords and mortgagors for the resulting losses (with certain conditions attached). 

-High Speed Internet
If you don't have high speed internet at home: if you have a cell phone, your carrier may have provided you with additional hotspot data for free, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your cell phone provider to see what options are available to you.

Comcast is offering 60 days of free Internet Essentials service. To sign up,  visit the Comcast Internet Essentials website (https://www.internetessentials.com/). You can also call 1-855-846-8376 for English and 1-855-765-6995 for Spanish.

Virginia's Educational TV

Virginia is putting out an educational television program called VA TV! This is especially great for parents who only have access to a television. K-3 instruction will be from 1-2pm Monday-Friday. For channel info go here

Read, read, read!! T
he BEST thing you can do right now is read. Read all kinds of things (fiction and nonfiction). Write about your reading and write about your life.

You can borrow audiobooks and ebooks for free from the public library! just download the Libby app and use your library card to access the library system. 
Don't have a library card? Click here!

-Open the Libby app or link
-Select "Yes" when it asks you if you have a library card (or sign up for one below)
-Select "I'll Search for a Library" and find Prince William Public Library System by typing in that, or by putting in Dale City or your zip code (22193)
-Select "Enter Library Account Details" and add your library card number
-If you got your library card through Enterprise, your password is the last 4 digits of your card. Otherwise, if you don't know your password, select "Here's some help"
-Select "Forgot password" and add your barcode (library card number). Then check your email that you used to sign up for the card for a reset link.
-Then you just need to add your barcode (library card number) and password to login!
