Enterprise Elementary School Announcements
Fun Run Was Fun!
Enterprise held a one-mile fun run today and the students had a blast. The weather finally cooperated and the kids got to have some fun while improving their fitness. Thanks to all of our fabulous volunteers for helping at the event!

Enterprise is Hatching Chicks!
Enterprise had a visit on April 16 from 4-H representative, Kristin Saul. She helped us candle our eggs to see whether they were developing properly and we discovered there are active chicks in those eggs! She was very helpful sharing her knowledge and experience hatching and raising chicks. Students who were lucky enough to come to the library during her visit learned a lot about embryology. This video will give all our students a peek at what was happening inside those eggs on day 11 of their development. Our chicks should be hatching very soon. Stayed tuned!
Link to the Library Webpage for more pictures and information.

Enterprise Students Show Off Their Art Skills

The art of over sixty Enterprise artists was on display at the Prince William County Schools' Art Festival held this past Saturday at Patriot High School. Students who came to see their art on display had their pictures taken.  Donald Graham's painting "Moonlight Trees" was awarded the white ribbon for best two-dimensional work of art at Enterprise.  All students whose work was selected for display will receive certificates recognizing their achievement.  Congratulations to all!  Thank you for your support!

Fantastic Turnout for Multicultural Night
Multicultural Night was a huge success. Over 250 Enterprise students and families came to enjoy an evening of entertainment, activities, and delicious food. Students experienced hands-on activities from each continent. Thanks for all the families who brought food to the event.

Enterprise held the 3rd quarter awards ceremony for students in 3rd-5th grade. Awards were given for silver and gold honor roll, Terrific Kid, Blast Off, BUG (Bring it Up a Grade) and 100% Fluent Math Awards. We are very proud of our students and their hard work!

Science is Cool!
The second grade students enjoyed an exciting weather presentation by Mr. Hicks. It was a wonderful example of how science is fun, engaging, and useful.

Poetry on the Lawn
Enterprise students and staff celebrated the beginning of poetry month with Poetry on the Lawn. Students enjoyed a good poem outside with beautiful spring weather. This month, students will be learning all about poetry, reading poetry, and creating their own poetry. The month's poetry events will culminate on April 30th during our Poetry Cafe where students will get the opportunity to share what they have created.
